Julie Damhus

Julie Damhus is a Danish ceramicist and product designer who graduated from Design School Kolding in 2014.

Colors and shapes always spring from imagination and a desire to play with the clay and its possibilities - the style is often feminine and simple with edges and fine details that surprise in the form of special curves in the design and the shine of the glaze.

The ceramics are hand-turned, and therefore each product is unique with its own life and small details. The process behind hand-turned ceramics requires concentration and attention to craft each and every product. The idea is that each cup and each bowl should be unique but match the other products in her collection. Julie works with classic hand-turning techniques and traditional craftsmanship when she makes her ceramics.
