A love letter to Athens
We came for a long weekend, just the four of us: Fanny, Charles and our boys, Marcel (6) and Michel (2), and somehow Athens wrapped us up in its golden light from the very first morning. Late October, and still everything shines.
We started the day lazy and happy at our hotel, enjoying a quiet morning together before heading to Foyer @foyer.espressobar, our friend Makis’s café. Good coffee, perfect pastries, and that feeling that you could sit there forever.
Marcel and Michel had only one thing on their minds: the Acropolis. So we made our way up, and it amazed us all — golden light, ancient stones and even tortoises surprising the boys along the way.
Later, we escaped to Varzika to soak up the sun. We swam, laughed and shared a fresh Greek salad by the sea.
As the evening came, we went out for a perfect dinner at Wine is Fine @wineisfine.athens, and then one last glass at Kennedy Vins @kennedyvins — a perfect end to a perfect day.
We’re leaving tomorrow, but this one’s for you, Athens — you’ve stolen our hearts.
