WE ASKED THEM TO CAPTURE 1 DAY (24HOURS)
We came to explore Denmark for our summer holidays, and we’re taking you along for 24 hours in Copenhagen with our kids, Charlie & Orso.
To make the most of the city, we booked an Airbnb in the Frederiksstaden neighbourhood.
We started the day with breakfast at Atelier September. Everything was delicious! Orso declared it was officially his favourite omelette in the world. No less.
Just across the street is a shop you absolutely have to visit: Frama. Housed in the historic St. Paul’s Apotek, established in 1878, everything here is simply beautiful.
Then we hopped on the train to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. It’s very easy to reach from central Copenhagen, and the train ride is super comfortable.
The Danes really know what they’re doing!
The museum has a beautiful garden, the spaces are incredibly kid-friendly, and there’s even a whole area dedicated to children: a library with an amazing selection of books and a creative space where they can take part in workshops.
Charlie and Orso got busy drawing and created two masterpieces. See for yourselves:
The kids seemed to really enjoy the museum and spent the day taking loads of pictures with their disposable cameras. We can’t wait to see them.
We had lunch at the museum too. Once again, beautiful views and delicious food. We enjoyed the gardens and, of course, an ice cream before heading back to Copenhagen.
Time for an afternoon snack at Hans Café, followed by a little walk around the neighbourhood, where every shop seems to be more beautiful than the last.
We even came across one with a photo booth, the perfect opportunity to bring home a few more memories.
Someone recommended a bookshop to us, and New Mags did not disappoint. The selection is perfect, and we even got to flip through David Hockney’s huge book displayed at the entrance. A dreamy moment ✨
For dinner, we headed to Fabro, an Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta.
One Spritz, one plate of pasta and a few rounds of cards later, we were ready for bed.
Copenhagen, you won us over!
