a Weekend in Copenhagen

Come join our series ‘A Weekend In…’, where we asked inspiring women to share the hotspots of their beloved hometown. Favourite places to take the family to eat, drink, shop or to just enjoy the outside.

Growing up in the countryside, Repose AMS’s founder In-Yeo was always fascinated by the city. Moving to Amsterdam was the best decision she ever made and turned her into a true city gal. “All the perks the city has to offer;

it simply makes me happy”, she says.

We love walking around the city, grabbing coffee and cake and maybe stop at a playground...

CAFE'S (breakfast & brunch)

Juno the Bakery

Lovely bakery in our area of Østerbro. They have the best cinnamon buns I have ever tasted, also amazing coffee (only filter coffee, the way I like it). There is also a really cool playground nearby, a great combo if you have small kids. If you want a light lunch in the city you have to try Apollo Bar, Lille Petra and Hercules Pavilion in the Kings Garden.

Torvehallerne food market|

Also one of our favourites for lunch, they have a great variety of food and you can sit outside surrounded by fruit, veggies and flowers.

Corsa Pizza

This is our local Italian restaurant, is great and everybody loves it!

Copenhagen is very family-friendly with loads of cool playgrounds all over the city!

is one of our favourite museums in the city. It’s perfect for the whole family. Besides exhibitions, they do art classes for kids, have a great café and a nice lounge area for the whole family.

Kings Garden
We also love all the great parks in Copenhagen, one of our favourites is the Kings Garden. It’s a great hang out for families. There is a small playground and a cozy café called Hercules Pavilion. Bring a picnic blanket.

The Botanical garden
Most beautiful park, and don’t miss the Palm House (you can’t really miss it.

A perfect one stop for simple nordic design for the whole family.

Is a "beautiful market" a place with heart and soul with many beautiful things to see and taste.

Highly curated shop with the most beautiful design items.
