Our everyday Paris by Fanny Petit
Our everyday Paris
We didn't set out to make a guide.
These are simply the places we keep returning to, the ones that fit naturally into our days, in between school runs, slow mornings and last-minute cravings.
We start close to home. Still half in our morning rhythm, the kids already asking for something sweet. A quick stop at La Cordonnerie, a place we discovered not so long ago and instantly loved. Set on a pedestrian street, it's one of those rare spots where the kids can move freely while we take a moment.

Some days unfold slowly. We sit down at Bob's Bake Shop, the kids busy with drawings while we wait for bagels and coffee. It's never rushed, just one of those pauses that make the day feel softer.

In between, there's always time to run, to climb, to stop at a playground. These are the moments that shape our days the most, unplanned and a bit messy.

And then, a little further out, the places we think about often, Boulangerie Parpains, for Khorasan bread, or Saturdays that sometimes turn into waffles.

When we need more space, we drift towards the Bois de Vincennes. Close enough to feel easy, far enough to feel like an escape. Water, light, and a different pace.

Back again, to small stops and familiar places. A scone at Comets, quite possibly the best in the city, and sandwiches from Le Favori, a place that feels a bit like home, run by the kids' dad.

Nothing is really planned, and yet we always find ourselves in the same places.
This is our Paris, not the one you visit, the one we live in and love.
